We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at HMP Woodhill, a Category A male prison. As a key member of our Facilities Maintenance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the prison's electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Electricians and General Maintenance staff to deliver electrical services and maintenance across the prison site.
  • Take operational responsibility for the electrical service delivery on site, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules and plans to minimize downtime and ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and address electrical system issues, and implement solutions to improve overall system efficiency.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members, and contribute to the development of their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years' experience as an Electrician, ideally within an FM environment and/or secure environment, military, health or similar sectors.
  • Qualifications equivalent to C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation) and NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations.
  • Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical or building service systems.
  • Previous experience leading teams of Electricians and General Maintenance staff.
  • Certificate in BS767 and The Requirements for Electrical Installations, 17th or 18th edition.
  • Rounded knowledge of risk and compliance, and demonstrable planning and project management skills.
  • Good Health and Safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
