We are recruiting for Freelance Interpreters, working face-to-face, by telephone, or via video conference, as well as Translators. This self-employed position offers flexibility and autonomy, allowing you to work from home and manage your own schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Listen, understand, and memorise content in the original language and reproduce it accurately into the target language.
  • Interpret for individuals using legal, health, and local government services, ensuring effective communication and understanding.
  • Work in various settings, including conferences, consecutive, and public service interpreting.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Liaise between service users and providers, facilitating smooth interactions.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should:

  • Be fluent in English and another language, with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Be aged 21 or over.
  • Possess formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, or equivalent.
