About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our Transportation team in Ipswich. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of various highway improvement and maintenance schemes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the improvement schemes from drainage and footway improvements to roundabout designs and junction improvements.
  • Develop and implement technical designs, drawings, and specifications for infrastructure operations.
  • Ensure a coordinated approach between Kier and external commissioners in the preparation of designs and investigation.
  • Prepare and control the scheme design programme and overall scheme budget for design and construction of smaller schemes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience of successfully delivering complex projects in highways engineering or similar technical disciplines.
  • Good technical knowledge and awareness of highways design and maintenance techniques.
  • Understanding of environmental legislation and recycling practices.
