Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Physics Expert to lead our Clinical and Radiation Physics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on clinical and radiation physics services, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of these services to patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a quality improvement and research programme for clinical and radiation physics
  • Provide expert advice on clinical and radiation physics services, including diagnostic radiology, nuclear medicine, and radiation safety
  • Manage and develop clinical and radiation physics services, including staff management, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure the safe and effective delivery of clinical and radiation physics services
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in clinical and radiation physics, and apply this knowledge to improve services and patient care
Requirements
  • State registered Clinical Scientist (HCPC)
  • Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in Diagnostic Radiology or Nuclear Medicine
  • PhD in Medical Physics or related subject
  • Chartered Physicist (CPhys) or Chartered Scientist (CSci)
  • Chartered Radiation Protection Professional (CRadP)
