Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable SEN school in Chesterfield. As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with behavioural needs, helping them engage with their learning, manage their behaviour, and build the confidence they need to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with behavioural needs
  • Work closely with class teachers and SEN specialists to implement strategies that promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience
  • Collaborate with the team to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Support students in developing their social, emotional, and academic skills

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree in Psychology or related field
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with students with behavioural needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the team to achieve student outcomes
  • Passion for inclusive education and commitment to supporting students with SEN
