Job Summary:

Grandir UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Room Leader to join our team at our Daventry nursery. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing professional leadership to all staff members and maintaining the highest standards of care and education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery, ensuring that all staff members are aware of and adhere to our policies and procedures.
  • Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties, providing guidance and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Deploy staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of the nursery's keycarer procedures and allocate children to keycarers appropriately.
  • Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child's progress and development.
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers, highlighting the benefits of our high-quality care and education.
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff, ensuring that they feel valued and supported in their roles.
  • Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Qualifications in childcare or education (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
