Product Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Manager to join our team at CDM Recruitment Ltd - Engineering & Manufacturing Specialists.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a section of our product portfolio, driving commercial planning to improve margin, revenue, and pricing, and making a real impact on the business and industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the product portfolio lifecycle, ensuring the addition of new products for business growth.
- Serve as the global product expert, knowing each product's application, features, and unique selling points.
- Understand product sales, margins, pricing, and performance across markets, regions, and key customers.
- Maintain competitive knowledge of each product, ensuring effective sales and marketing strategies.
- Identify customer needs and translate them into clear product specifications for development.
- Build business cases for new products, collaborating with sales for forecasts and pricing, and with development for cost targets.
- Lead sales and marketing strategies, defining product launches, pricing, and supporting sales teams with training and materials.
- Work with production teams on phase-in/out plans and facilitate initial orders.
- Ensure product development stays on track, addressing specifications and decisions as needed.
- After launch, monitor product performance, gather feedback, and provide ongoing support.
Requirements:
- Experience in product development or project management in an engineering environment.
- Commercially aware and product development experience.
- Able to collaborate with multiple departments for one common goal.
- Degree or equivalent preferred in engineering or business.
