The Medical Secretarial Service is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Medical Secretary. This exciting opportunity will provide the successful candidate with the chance to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing administrative support to medical, surgical, and clinical teams across the acute sector of NHS Grampian.

About the Role

The Medical Secretary will work as part of the Medical Secretarial Team in our Child Development areas, providing secretarial and administrative support to Community Paediatricians, specialty doctors, and wider AHP team. This is a busy but rewarding role that involves a variety of tasks, including managing correspondence, maintaining accurate records, and providing administrative support to medical staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to medical staff, including managing correspondence and maintaining accurate records
  • Work as part of the Medical Secretarial Team in our Child Development areas
  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to Community Paediatricians, specialty doctors, and wider AHP team
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including patient information and medical notes
  • Provide administrative support to medical staff, including preparing reports and presentations

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous secretarial or PA experience, with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. They will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
