Job Title: Children and Young People Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Children and Young People Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to work with vulnerable residents who require support in managing their financial affairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of individuals who require the support of a Public Authority Deputy and those more complex Appointee cases.
  • Ensure receipt of eligible welfare benefits, safeguarding and management of savings and property, payment of living expenses, and allocations and disbursement of personal allowances.
  • Work closely with colleagues to provide an exemplary level of service to our vulnerable residents.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in working in the role of Court Appointed Deputy and/or Public Authority Deputy.
  • Considerable knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Welfare Benefits, Court of Protection legal procedures and regulations, and the Public Health Act 1984.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an eye for detail and strong financial skills.
