Operations Controller

Our client, a well-established organisation in the aviation industry, is seeking an experienced Operations Controller to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting the Operations Control Centre to ensure a safe and punctual schedule is delivered across the network, while meeting customers' expectations regarding reliability and punctuality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a flight watch on all flights during the shift, ensuring that all flights operate on-time.
  • Monitor flight plans and slots for all airports on the network.
Requirements:
  • Aviation experience with a commercial awareness.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Flexibility towards working a shift system (12-hour shift) that can change at short notice due to technical or weather issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (including diaries and email).
  • Well-organised and proactive approach to responsibilities, with the ability to work on own initiative and to specific deadlines, being confident in making decisions.
  • Extensive knowledge of PPS (Flight Planning) system.
  • Ideal candidate will possess at least 1 year's experience within a commercial airline operations department.
