Safran Helicopter Engines UK is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Manufacturing Technical Specialist to lead our supplier management efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and development of suppliers.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in precision manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or automotive. They will assess new and existing supplier capabilities, develop positive relationships with Procurement, and implement and track supplier/engineering changes.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Assessing new and existing supplier capabilities to ensure they meet performance, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Developing positive relationships with Procurement to implement and track supplier/engineering changes.
  • Providing technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and development of suppliers.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve our goals and deliver exceptional results.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Technical experience of complex manufacturing, preferably in Aerospace or a related field.
  • Understanding manufacturing processes - specifically Precision (CNC) Machining.
  • Knowledge of quality and business systems.
  • Commercial and financial acumen.
  • Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA).
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also receive:

  • 25 days holiday a year (plus bank holidays).
  • Hybrid working – on site 3 days per week from home 2 days (role dependant).
