Job Summary

Career Teachers is seeking a dedicated and proactive HR Officer to join our vibrant school community in North Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, providing essential HR support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR queries and advice.
  • Support SLT with attendance management, including monitoring staff absence and liaising on sickness and return-to-work processes.
  • Assist with the recruitment process, from posting job advertisements to onboarding new staff.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support the development of school policies in line with HR and legal requirements.
  • Provide administrative support across various HR functions, ensuring the smooth operation of the school's HR processes.
Requirements
  • Previous HR experience, ideally within an educational or public sector setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to offer clear HR advice and support.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • A proactive, flexible approach, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
