MULTI-SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER

We are seeking a highly skilled Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Hays Engineering. As an electrical bias maintenance engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment.

The Role:

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and reacting to breakdowns on a range of filling, packing machinery, and size changes.
  • Fault-finding on electrical and mechanical systems, including panels, 3-phase motors, inverters, and relays.
  • Providing guidance on the operation and maintenance of production equipment.
  • Managing contractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety policies and quality procedures.
  • Ensuring that all statutory and regulatory checks are carried out on production equipment.
  • Providing front-line engineering support to manufacturing operations.
  • Maintaining a detailed log of all work carried out on the plant.
  • Protecting the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ L3 in electrical bias.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings and weekends.
