At Avery Healthcare, we strive to provide exceptional care and services to our residents. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will play a vital part in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our care homes.
Your primary focus will be to work as part of a team to ensure that all areas of the home are well-presented and maintained in good condition. This will involve operating according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry, adhering to hotel service standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
- Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings, and the properties of cleaning materials.
- Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect, and that their personal space and belongings are always respected.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will need to live our values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful, and accountable in all you do.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety, and COSHH assessments.
- Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
- Demonstrate compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping/laundry services to residents.
- The ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
