About the Role:

The University Chaplaincy invites applications for the role of Muslim Chaplain. This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant team of chaplains who are committed to inclusivity and to supporting the diverse university community.

As a chaplain, you will provide pastoral care and spiritual accompaniment to meet the needs of individuals and groups within the University, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all. You will work collaboratively with colleagues from other professional services to run events throughout the year that help build a vibrant and inclusive community by enabling opportunities for encounter and connection across the University family.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide timely, confidential, non-judgemental listening services to individuals.
  • Lead and coordinate religious services, educational programs, and listening support specifically tailored to the needs of Muslim students, staff and university tenants.
  • Attend and participate in the full calendar of chaplaincy events, including some specifically designed to promote interfaith dialogue and understanding.
