Job Title: Maths Learning Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Maths Learning Specialist to join our team at the National Skills Agency. As a Maths Learning Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting learners with their GCSE maths delivery and Functional Skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support learners with their maths skills development through face-to-face tuition and ad-hoc Functional Skills support.
  • Conduct initial assessments and diagnostics to understand each learner's starting point and skills development needs.
  • Participate in sanitation meetings to enhance curriculum planning and adhere to client and awarding body standards.
  • Monitor attendance and performance of learners on caseload and report to management effectively.
  • Provide support systems to facilitate positive retention, achievement, and progression.
  • Complete assessment and documentation to meet awarding body, funding body, and organisational requirements.

Requirements

  • Qualified Tutor (at least a Level 3 specialism)
  • Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in GCSE/Functional Skills
  • Teaching Qualification (at least a Level 3)
  • Driving Licence

Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary, estimated to be around £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
