Job Title: Business Finance Partner

As a Business Finance Partner at Travis Perkins, you will play a key role in providing first-class finance support to the General Merchanting organisation. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to drive business performance and maximise achievement against the annual operating plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Senior Leadership team in providing business insight and KPI analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain budgets and 3-year plans, working closely with the Finance team and Leadership.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly BAU reporting to the Senior Leadership team, highlighting performance against targets.
  • Identify opportunities to maximise performance through increased revenue and margin, reduced cost, or more optimum use of capital assets.
  • Contribute to relevant business line, Finance, or Group projects as required.
  • Evaluate Business Line capital spend through analysis against KPIs, strategy, and investment hurdles.
  • Work with the Business Line pricing and commercial teams to understand the impact of commercial and pricing decisions.
  • Develop capability in data studio, Looker, and other reporting or data manipulation tools as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of being able to communicate with finance and non-finance people.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheet skills.
  • Ability to interpret data into action-oriented insight.
  • Strong commercial thought process.
  • Awareness of external impacts on the business.
