Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing individualized support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Assisting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their learning and development
  • Managing challenging behaviour effectively
  • Supporting the teacher in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements:
  • A relevant qualification or experience in Special Educational Needs or Teaching Assistant
  • A minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Prior experience working with students with SEN, or personal experience
Preferred Qualifications:

A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

Working Conditions:

This role involves working full-time hours in a school setting, supporting students with SEN. The candidate must be able to adapt to different learning styles and provide individualized support as needed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
