Newborn Hearing Screener Role

This position involves conducting hearing screenings for newborn babies in Harrow, working closely with the team at Northwick Park Hospital. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Main Responsibilities

  • To ensure all parents of eligible babies are offered the screening in a timely fashion and that the screening is carried out according to national and local standards.
  • To maintain effective communication with parents, maternity staff, audiology team and other relevant staff and professionals.
  • To ensure accurate recording and archiving of results and outcome on S4H.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in a hospital environment and baby handling skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
