About the Role

Synechron is seeking a highly experienced Murex Platform Expert to join our team in London. As a key member of our FS institution client’s project, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Murex solutions with a focus on Back and Front office functionalities.

  • Collaborate closely with Back and Front Office teams to identify and document business requirements for Murex, ensuring seamless integration with existing workflows and data management processes.
  • Translate complex business needs into detailed functional specifications for trade management, viewer settings, and post-trade workflows, aligning with financial reporting and reconciliation standards.
  • Utilize your accounting expertise to ensure Murex is configured to meet financial reporting and regulatory requirements, providing solutions for internal and external reporting needs.
  • Perform gap analysis and develop project plans for Murex upgrades and customisations, contributing to the strategic development of the platform.
  • Lead system testing efforts to validate new modules or enhancements, ensuring high-quality and functional performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with Murex updates, market trends, and technological advancements to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with Murex, particularly in Back or Front Office modules, trade management, viewer, and post-trade workflows.
  • Deep knowledge of Financial and Non-financial Static Data and how they are managed within Murex.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and their application to trading systems and reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools and methodologies, with the ability to design and interpret reports within a Murex environment.
  • Technical knowledge of market data, including how it is sourced, processed, and utilized within trading systems.
  • Familiarity with SQL, XML, and other relevant technologies is a plus.
