About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Research Associate to join our team at the Wellcome Sanger Institute. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for performing wet laboratory work, growing human-induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPS cells), and optimizing the production of organoids.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily laboratory work to set up in vitro organoid models from hiPS cells.
  • Organize and carry out complex experimental work independently to reach established targets.
  • Work closely with lead scientists and other team members to coordinate research projects.
  • Develop and implement new protocols for hiPS cell culture and organoid production.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent laboratory skills and experience with hiPS cell culture and organoid production.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
