Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor - Aviation Maintenance Lead
At Babcock, we're working to create a safe and secure world, together. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you'll play a key role in managing aircraft mechanical maintenance activities at our RAF Valley site.
The Role
You'll be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical maintenance tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard. This includes:
- Verifying that all necessary equipment is available and reporting any deficiencies.
- Overseeing the maintenance and release of mechanical category assets, in line with competency limitations and certification.
- Ensuring that tool control procedures are followed in accordance with relevant Acceptable Means of Compliance.
- Monitoring the handling, distribution, and satisfaction of engineering instructions and their associated reporting procedures.
This is a full-time role based onsite at RAF Valley, on Anglesey.
Essential Experience:
- Experienced mechanical engineer with knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.
- Background in Aviation.
- Ideal experience as a supervisory/management level.
Qualifications:
- Training in Mechanical discipline to City and Guilds Level or equivalent level 3 equivalent (completed an apprenticeship).
Security Clearance:
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
