About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Optos. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge systems that transform eye care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of our products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
  • Develop and maintain continuous systems test suites, including unit tests, integration tests, and acceptance tests.
  • Prepare verification reports and associated documents to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Support the production unit in setting up and executing automation infrastructure.
  • Evaluate system behavior by executing automation test suites and analyzing image characteristics under various environmental conditions.
  • Owning and running a testing community of practice to ensure testing best practices are applied and adopted across the organization.
Requirements
  • Degree qualified in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in programming (ideally Python, but other languages such as C/C++, C#, Java, etc. are also acceptable).
  • Experience using and developing DevOps tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with virtual machine management tools (preferably for VMWare).
  • Experience with integration of electronic, optical, and mechanical systems or subsystems.
