About the Role


We're seeking an experienced Senior CDM and H&S Consultant to join our dynamic team in London. As a key member of our defence construction projects team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality CDM and H&S consultancy services to existing and new clients.



Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver CDM and H&S consultancy services from our London office to existing and new clients.
  • Understand client needs and proactively identify solutions to their challenges.
  • Ensure consistent delivery of service excellence in meeting client needs and expectations.
  • Develop existing systems and processes to improve CDM and H&S efficiency.
  • Provide expert advice and act as Principal Designer as required.
  • Establish positive relations with existing and new clients to gain confidence and become a trusted advocate.
  • Represent Turner & Townsend in a professional and diligent manner, including meeting, negotiating, and corresponding with clients.
  • Manage all commissions effectively, ensuring client expectations and Turner & Townsend's business management system are met.
  • Carry out H&S performance reviews, audits, etc., on behalf of clients.
  • Liaise with SHQ and wider Turner & Townsend colleagues to contribute to team effectiveness.
  • Compile and create relevant pre-construction information and H&S files.


Requirements



  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to effectively plan and organise own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Good IT skills to generate reports and documents.
  • Solutions-driven.
  • Creative thinker.
  • Excellent client empathy.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience within the construction industry, specifically around the CDM Regulations.
  • Experience of a diverse range of industry sectors desired, with a proven ability to meet client needs.
  • Experience as a Principal Designer is advantageous.
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • NEBOSH Diploma Level (or equivalent).
  • GradIOSH or equivalent.
  • Membership of the APS.
