About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled FP&A Business Partner to collaborate with the FP&A Manager in supporting business planning through financial analysis and modelling. This role involves identifying and measuring key success drivers, providing finance and business support to commercial, sales, and operational staff, and contributing to the development of financial models and forecasts.Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy of monthly cost centre P&L reports by reviewing the work completed by the accounts department and ensuring P&Ls are ready for issue to internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and present monthly forecasting and annual budgeting reports, involving liaison with budget holders to update forecasts and internal models for all areas of overhead costs.
- Understand and report on variances to forecasts, budgets, and assumptions, and communicate these to stakeholders.
- Track spend against company initiatives and investments, and report on performance.
- Prepare PowerPoint presentation slides explaining overhead costs, P&Ls, budgets, and forecasts.
- Report on network productivity and ensure the accuracy of data in our reporting software.
- Analyse payroll versus budget, create forecasts, people planning, and productivity by branch.
- Calculate monthly bonuses for the network and forecast changes to schemes.
- Manage CAPEX spend, including tracking, forecasting, and measuring against budget, while ensuring budget holders follow process and spend within their limits.
- Review business cases for investment CAPEX and ensure the quality of ROI calculations prior to management review.
- Support budget holders in identifying efficiency opportunities through modelling and data analysis, enabling the proposal of ideas and solutions to problems faced within the network.
- Implement process and reporting improvements that drive efficiency by moving manual reporting into software-based solutions.
- Support with ad hoc investment models and analysis to aid investment decisions.
About You
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- A strong science or analytical background, with a degree in Maths, Science, IT, Economics, Business, or Engineering.
- An ambitious candidate at the start of their career looking for a progressive role.
- Strong personal skills, as this role requires a lot of interaction with budget holders and management.
- Proficiency in Excel or a high level of computer literacy, with a strong ability to learn quickly.
- A self-starter with a desire to learn fast and take on new challenges.
