Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Unit Manager to join our team at Exemplar Health Care. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your nursing leadership skills and make a real difference in the lives of our residents.

Job Description:

  • Lead the care and nursing teams on your designated unit to ensure we meet the medical, physical, and emotional needs of our residents.
  • Provide strong leadership to maintain and continuously develop high standards of care and drive continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and manage all clinical elements and risks on your unit.
  • Ensure care plans and risk assessments are completed and reviewed in a timely manner and reflect care interventions appropriately.
  • Act as the Named Nurse for residents allocated to you, with responsibility for the oversight, review, and update of their care profiles.
  • Supervise and manage medication ordering, handling, storage, administration, recording, and disposal.

Requirements:

  • A thorough understanding of best practice in nursing care.
  • An excellent range of clinical and communication skills that can be demonstrated.
  • An enthusiastic approach to encouraging and motivating people.
  • The ability to work confidently on your own initiative.
  • A good standard of digital skills.
  • A first-level nursing registration with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) PIN.
  • Post-registration and management or supervisory experience and/or training or qualifications.
