Speech Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech Therapist to join our team at Your Healthcare CIC. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with children and adults with learning disabilities, providing specialist speech and language therapy services.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in working with children/young people with SLCN and some professional experience of working with adults with a learning disability. They will be responsible for assessing, interpreting results, and differentially diagnosing the communication needs of clients on their caseload.

• Provide specialist speech and language therapy services to children and adults with learning disabilities
• Assess, interpret results, and differentially diagnose the communication needs of clients on their caseload
• Develop and implement effective therapy plans, monitoring and evaluating outcomes
• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, parents/carer, educational colleagues, and residential care staff to ensure collaborative outcome setting and focused therapy

• Recognised speech and language therapy qualification
• HCPC registration
• Makaton, PECS, Intensive Interaction, AAC, PODD
• Competent at RCSLT Eating, Drinking and Swallowing Competency Framework (EDSCF) level 4
