We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our Contracting Team at Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC). CPC is a purchasing consortium that provides purchasing frameworks, dynamic purchasing systems, and procurement consultancy services for schools, academies, colleges, universities, and other educational organizations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production of purchasing agreements within the People category, reporting to the Head of Contracting Services. Key responsibilities include delivering efficient and effective framework agreements to our members, managing a small team of direct reports, and providing day-to-day management, training, mentoring, and support.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced procurement professional with a detailed working knowledge of public sector procurement legislation, experience working in the education sector, and experience in managing a small team. If you are a motivated and organized individual with excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the production of purchasing agreements within the People category
- Deliver efficient and effective framework agreements to our members
- Manage a small team of direct reports
- Provide day-to-day management, training, mentoring, and support
- Extensive procurement experience within the public sector
- Detailed working knowledge of public sector procurement legislation
- Experience working in the education sector
- Experience in managing a small team
- Salary of up to £52,000, dependent on experience
- 37 days holiday, including Christmas holiday closure and bank holidays
- Yearly performance-related bonuses of up to £3,500
