Job Title: Trade Counter Assistant/Driver

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Trade Counter Assistant/Driver to join our team at Meridian Business Support. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing trade counter sales, and ensuring the smooth delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to new and existing customers
  • Manage trade counter sales to achieve sales targets and confidently communicate product knowledge to customers
  • Pick, load, and deliver products to customers using 5-tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans
  • Responsible for route planning, safe driving, and keeping the Company vehicle clean
  • Support the Branch Manager with actions and activities on time, in full
  • Comply with Health and Safety, company policies, and procedures
Requirements:
  • Able to effectively organize workload to meet deadlines and have the flexibility to address more urgent matters when required
  • Passion and energy to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business targets
  • A hands-on customer-focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and proactively engage with potential future customers
  • Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and use own initiative
  • Confident IT user, with experience of MS Office and industry-standard software (e.g., SAP)
  • A full and valid driving license is essential, and a FLT license could be a distinct advantage
