Commercial Financial Analyst Opportunity

We are looking for a skilled and analytical Commercial & Financial Analyst to join our client's Product & Commercial Team. If you are passionate about travel and have a knack for numbers, this could be the perfect role for you.

About the Role:

As a Commercial & Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing financial and commercial insights to support strategic business decisions. Your expertise will help optimize product planning, tour utilization, and pricing strategies. You will drive the development and implementation of best-in-class reporting and data analytics to improve overall decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop commercial reporting to enhance decision-making, focusing on maximizing the use of Power BI.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to expand project initiatives, providing insights and relevant reporting to guide stakeholder decisions.
  • Produce weekly reports on tour utilization, recommending strategies to optimize performance.
  • Develop reporting frameworks for pricing strategies to boost tour profitability.
  • Set regular targets and prepare quarterly forecasts on tour utilization and profitability metrics.
  • Ensure all commercial reports are actionable and tailored to support business objectives.
  • Analyze data to aid annual product cycles and assist in contract negotiations.
  • Identify and report on variances in tour margins to the product and finance teams.
  • Establish and monitor commercial KPIs.
  • Lead the creation of dashboards and tactical reports for commercial insights.
  • Work closely with the Product & Commercial Department to enhance commercial awareness across the business.
  • Assist in the production of annual budgets and forecasts, partnering with senior leadership.
  • Drive continuous development of the Power BI platform for business growth.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a commercial role within the travel industry, preferably with touring-based products.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Power BI.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a talent for interpreting and presenting data clearly.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
