Highway Goods Driver

As a skilled HGV Class 2 Tipper Driver at Flexicruit, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of aggregate and construction materials to various sites.
Key Responsibilities- Operate a Class 2 tipper vehicle to transport materials to designated sites.
- Ensure loads are safely and securely transported, adhering to legal load limits.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or maintenance issues.
- Safely operate tipping mechanisms to unload materials at delivery sites.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time of departure and arrival, and any issues encountered.
- Adhere to all driving regulations, including tachograph and drivers hours rules.
- Ensure all health and safety protocols are followed, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site personnel to coordinate deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as required.
You will work in a dynamic team environment, and excellent customer service skills are essential for representing the company professionally.
Requirements- A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving license is mandatory.
- You should hold a valid MPQC card.
- A Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is also required.
- A digital tachograph card is necessary for this role.
- Prior experience as an HGV Class 2 driver, preferably operating tipper trucks, is highly valued.
- You should possess a strong understanding of road safety regulations and legal load limits.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record are essential.
- The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring heavy loads, is necessary.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently are also required.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and weekends, is expected.
The salary for this position is approximately £140 per day, with opportunities for overtime. Additional benefits include comprehensive training and development programs, free parking, and a referral bonus after passing probation. You will also receive 28 days of annual leave, including Bank Holidays, with potential for additional days. The company prioritizes employee well-being and offers incentives for performance.
