Dual Diagnosis Practitioner

We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Community Mental Health Team in Walsall, working with adults experiencing complex mental health challenges, including substance misuse issues.
About the RoleThis role will involve working closely with colleagues to develop and implement individualized intervention plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each client.
You will be responsible for a caseload of clients, providing clinical care and guidance to support their recovery and well-being. As a Dual Diagnosis Nurse, you will also participate in the CMHT duty system, supporting the team to provide high-quality services to Service Users.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and community groups to promote better outcomes for individuals.
The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of the recovery agenda, experience of working with resilience and confidence-based prevention strategies, and the ability to undertake and manage clinical risks. They will also be committed to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of our Service Users.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and formulate individual intervention plans for adults with complex mental health problems
- Provide clinical care and guidance to clients with drug and alcohol dependency
- Support outreach to substance misuse services
- Participate in the CMHT duty system
- Manage the mental health needs of Service Users referred to the team
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NMC - RMN Registration
- Experience of working within mental health services
- Experience of assessment of people with substance misuse and related problems
- Knowledge of NHS issues and current policies and practices in mental health
- Post graduate training relevant to Mental Health
- Recent and relevant experience of working with clients experiencing issues with substance misuse
- Evidence of working with complex mental health and substance misuse service users within inpatient and/or community settings
This is a full-time permanent position. You will be required to travel to various locations as part of your duties. A salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience, is offered.
