We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Junior Buyer to join our Women's Buying Team at Nutmeg Clothing's head office in Coalville. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting the Buyer/Senior Buyer in planning, sourcing, and negotiating a commercial and competitively priced product range across all channels.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning, sourcing, and negotiating a commercial and competitively priced product range across all channels.
- Be accountable for a given category, including strategy, product range, performance, and quality, working alongside the merchandising team with guidance from the Buyer.
- Proactively be involved in the department strategy, helping to develop and build a commercial product range that reflects the Nutmeg brand strategy.
- Deliver a commercial and competitive range for the given category while ensuring that the brand standards in both quality and value are maintained.
- Establish key working relationships with Merchandising, Design, Technical teams, and suppliers.
- Maximise sales and profit for the given category within the product department to meet agreed targets through strong negotiation and development of global supplier relations.
We are looking for someone with a strong ability to influence and build strong relationships, a passion for product and an eye for detail, previous experience with a clothing retailer/supplier, great time management and organisation skills, and a proven ability to judge the market and maximise sales and margin.
You will also have a fashion/business qualification and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
