About the Role

The Estimator will be responsible for ensuring that the estimated cost of a project is prepared correctly in an explicit and consistent manner, taking into account the methods of construction and all circumstances that may affect the execution of the work on a project within our rail M&E specialist in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure tender documents, addendums, client correspondence, and other relevant materials are logged on the server and relevant team members are issued with copies.
  • Produce sub-contractor enquiry schedules, obtaining suggestions and feedback from the tender team, procurement department preferred and approved contractor schedules.
  • Issue sub-contract enquiries, including scope of works and attendance schedules (where applicable).
  • Issue materials enquiries.

Requirements

  • Must have experience within M&E in construction, preferably in the rail sector.
  • Must have strong analytical and numeracy skills to accurately evaluate detailed specifications, cost, and risk.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Must have a detailed knowledge of the latest processes, materials, and costs. In addition, they should be familiar with Conquest/Causeway/Coins or similar estimating software.
