Job Description

In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex Stamp Taxes advice to various teams across the practice. Your technical expertise and consultation skills will be crucial in providing sign-off and guidance on high-profile assignments.

You will also identify opportunities to expand client accounts and manage risks, while acting as a trusted advisor to engage with clients on wider commercial and strategic issues. Furthermore, you will counsel and develop junior staff through delegation and on-the-job training, ensuring they possess the necessary skills to excel in their roles.

In addition to your technical knowledge, you will enhance firm-wide awareness of Stamp Taxes opportunities and risks by improving internal networks and external referral relationships. You will establish strong connections with Stamp Taxes technical bodies and HMRC, fostering a culture of excellence within the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of Stamp Taxes advice delivery for various teams across the practice.
  • Lead complex Stamp Taxes assignments with technical sign-off and consultation.
  • Identify opportunities to grow client accounts and manage risks.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, engaging with clients on wider commercial and strategic issues.
  • Counsel and develop junior staff through delegation and on-the-job training.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Stamp Taxes, gained from practice and/or industry experience. They should demonstrate excellent project management skills, working effectively with various teams to deliver high-quality results.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA) and/or CTA, or breadth of knowledge equivalent to CTA.
  • Significant experience in Stamp Taxes, preferably gained from practice and/or industry.
  • Strong awareness of other key taxes, particularly for the Real Estate sector.
  • Excellent project management and team leadership skills.
