Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Research Assistant in the field of graphene research and development.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, collaborating with our diverse and highly skilled experts in the field.
Responsibilities will include:
- Providing experimental support across a range of projects, including material characterisation, device manufacture, and defect density measurements.
- Conducting research and analysis, presenting results through completion of slides and verbal feedback at technology meetings.
- Ensuring communication flow of information across the project teams.
- Managing lab consumables, including stock inventory, ordering, distribution, and contact with external suppliers.
- Completion of records of invention (ROI's) and lessons learnt documentation.
- Completion of standard operating procedures (SOP's).
- Completion of COSHH forms for new on-site chemicals.
- Providing training to new joiners on equipment and experimental techniques.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electronics Engineering, and Computer Science.
- Superb oral and written communication skills.
- Must be proactive, organised, detail-oriented, and demonstrate accuracy and consistency.
- Ability to organise own workload.
- Strong team player.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience.
