PMLD/SEND Teaching Assistant Role
We are seeking an experienced teaching assistant to support children and young adults with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) in a SEND school in North West London.
About the School:
The successful candidate will be working in a SEND school that provides high-quality education and care for students with complex and severe learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with all aspects of daily living, including feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene.
  • Develop and implement strategies for managing challenging behaviour, working closely with the class teacher and external professionals as needed.
  • Provide assistance and support for students with physical disabilities, including moving and handling, and use of specialist equipment.

Requirements:
  • Full-time commitment of 5 days per week, from 8:30am to 4:00PM.
  • Experience working with children, adults, and/or the elderly with additional needs.
  • A strong understanding of PMLD and experience working with students with severe and complex needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

Estimated Salary: £28,500 - £38,000 per annum.
