Our company is a leading provider of audio visual solutions to corporate and government clients throughout the UK and Europe. We are seeking an experienced audio visual engineer to join our Project Management & Support team as a Project Engineer.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and organized individual to work closely with our Project Management Support and Operations team to deliver successful audio visual installations to our clients. The successful candidate will have practical experience of installing commercial audio visual and conferencing systems and will be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Project Support team and colleagues in the Sales and Operations teams to understand the installation requirements of clients' projects.
  • Check system design drawings and equipment lists to create installation sundries lists for the materials required by the engineers.
  • Support Account and Project Managers on site and in the office.
  • Carry out site surveys and attend on-site meetings, walk rounds, and site handovers with clients and main contractors.
  • Use Star Draw to produce system schematics, cable schedules, elevations, and rack layouts.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to organize, communicate, and manage workload in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ability to problem solve and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record in the audio-visual engineering industry.
  • Experience of commercial audio-visual and videoconferencing systems, including Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
  • Strong PC skills, including familiarity with Crestron Toolbox, Extron Global Configurator, and audio DSP software programs like Biamp and QSC.
  • Knowledge of Crestron, Extron, Kramer switching and control systems, as well as professional audio and camera solutions.
  • Understanding of Network terminology and topologies.
  • SSSTS, ECS, or CSCS qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Ability to read and comprehend project technical documents, including engineering and architectural drawings, schedules, test reports, or commissioning documents.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • Effective time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Dependability, punctuality, and an adaptable approach to work.
