NRSWA Compliance Specialist

This role is to ensure site activity is compliant with NRSWA 1991, TMA, and associated legislations.
Key Responsibilities:- Inspect and supervise activities on the road to ensure compliance with NRSWA 1991, SROH, and safety at Street-works and roadworks code of practice.
- Coach and mentor site staff on NRSWA legislation and ensure they are aware of and comply with all relevant regulations.
- Identify and address non-conformances, provide on-site guidance and training, and complete corrective action.
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to provide feedback from site inspections and drive improvement throughout network construction.
- Establish and maintain productive relationships with authorities, including attending site meetings and providing on-site support for authority escalations.
- Produce weekly and monthly reports detailing audit completions, issues, and trends from site.
- Implement avoidance actions in line with prosecutions or act as a witness for evidence in court cases related to activities on or adjacent to the public highway.
- Utilize NRSWA hosted streetworks noticing systems, including interrogation, analysis, and investigation of inspections.
- Lead on a programme of coring, collate, investigate, and report findings to the Head of Build.
- Experience of NRSWA 1991 and associated legislation.
- Experience in inspecting works in line with the SROH and safety at Road and Street Works Code of Practice.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good organisational skills, including prioritising workloads, decision making, time management, and negotiation.
- Ability to collaborate with multiple build partners and stakeholders.
- Significant experience as a NRSWA inspector.
- Working knowledge of NRSWA 1991 and associated codes of practices.
