Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Fiber Test Technician to join our team in Romsey. This role involves operating specialist manufacturing and test equipment, meeting production test targets, and supporting the scaling up of our new fabrication facility to meet customer demand and company ambition.

Responsibilities
  • Perform test processes to defined specifications, with guidance from an engineer or lab manager.
  • Work with Shift leader to validate manufacturing equipment operation within expected parameters.
  • Perform manufacturing quality inspections to document process outcomes.
  • Confirm optical fiber geometries by taking images and comparing readings against established test cases.
  • Record manufacturing data and drive basic analyses to identify bugs, defects, or failure rates.
  • Document daily progress and record manufacturing throughput.
Requirements
  • Relevant technical engineering experience or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
