Manufacturing Engineer Position

About the Role:
AndRecruit Engineering is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Plymouth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, science, or a related field, with experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer in product development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify bottlenecks and eliminate non-value added activities to improve productivity, cost, quality, and health & safety.
• Work on both existing and new R&D projects, creating and maintaining controlled documentation such as process flows, tool drawings, component specs, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Collaborate with the Lean team to develop and implement best practices, routines, and solutions to improve production rates, quality, and output.
• Design innovative manufacturing solutions for parts, creating jigs and fixtures where necessary.
• Participate in NPI reviews to ensure only the most production-efficient designs are released into production.
• Deliver continuous improvement, operational excellence, and lean improvements.
Requirements:
• HND/HNC qualified or equivalent experience in Engineering, Science, or a related field.
• Experience working as a Manufacturing Engineer within product development in a similar environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.
