About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Domestic Services Team at Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff by providing high-quality domestic services.
Main Responsibilities
- Clean specific areas in line with training and approved methods, adhering to NHS National cleaning standards and frequencies.
- Work in accordance with the day-to-day schedule, as directed by management.
- Safely utilize mechanical and electrical cleaning equipment, following training and ensuring equipment is cleaned after use.
- Prevent the spread of infection by following the National colour code system.
- Ensure cleaning cupboards are locked and secured when not in use, and be responsible for the security of keys issued to these areas.
- Comply with mandatory training and attend other relevant training, as directed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant hospital policies and procedures.
- Report accidents and near misses or unsafe situations, enabling appropriate action to be taken.
- Treat patients, visitors, and staff with dignity and respect.
- Undertake specialist cleans, utilizing specific PPE and knowledge of differing cleaning methodologies.
- Perform other duties as requested by line management.
- Address cleaning audits within agreed timescales.
