Job Summary:
We are seeking a creative self-motivated Research Scientist to develop models and experiments for High-Reynolds-Number flows. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or chemical engineering, fluid mechanics, and experience in mechanical design, building, and commissioning of flow loops, particularly handling multiphase flows and turbomachinery.

Key Responsibilities:
• Work in multiphase flow and mechanical systems' first principles modeling
• Engage and collaborate with our technical community
• Develop novel solutions to research and engineering problems, and articulate them to the technology team and management
• Publish scientific papers, write patent applications, and attend conferences
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field and apply this knowledge to drive innovation

Qualifications:
• PhD in a relevant field (Mechanical or chemical engineering, fluid mechanics)
• Experience in mechanical design, building, and commissioning of flow loops, particularly handling multiphase flows and turbomachinery
• Experience in first-principle modeling of multiphase flow and mechanical systems
• Experience in data acquisition, signal processing, and data interpretation including data science approaches
• Knowledge of Python, ROS, Labview, and (desirable) Matlab
• Experience in advanced instrumentation for multiphase flow measurements including laser-optical (PLIF, PIV), electrical, ultrasonic, and nuclear techniques is desirable
