Key Responsibilities- Provide SHEQ support to operational and office teams, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement systems and processes that align with our goals and objectives, maintaining compliance and promoting our brand.
- Deliver training, support, and coaching on SHEQ matters, ensuring a culture of safety and quality within the organization.
- Conduct SHEQ inspections and audits, addressing non-conformities and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and review SHEQ policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
- Ensure equipment safety and compliance, identifying and mitigating risks related to safety and operations.
- Update and manage the risk register, ensuring it is accurate and comprehensive.
- Liaise with SHEQ Inspectors, HSE, and trade unions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct in-house SHEQ training, ensuring all employees are aware of their responsibilities and obligations.
- Carry out asbestos and scaffolding audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify risks and opportunities, advising on mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Essential:
- SMSTS qualification
- Valid driving license
- IOSH Working Safely
- NEBOSH National Certificate - General
- Recognised Fire remedial works qualifications/experience
Desirable:
- CSCS card in site management/supervision
- Asbestos surveying and remedial works qualifications/experience
- Degree in Safety, Health, and Environmental Management
- IOSH Managing Safely
- NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Understanding of data protection and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the construction industry, particularly in the Social Housing sector.
- Experience in multiple refurbishment projects.
- Knowledge of Construction and Building Regulations.
- In-depth understanding of health, safety & environmental legislation.
- Experience dealing with contractors and DLO operatives.
- Legal knowledge of health, safety & environmental sector.
- Understanding of Asbestos and CAR 2012 Regulations.
