Position: Mechanical Assembler

Salary Range: £31,200 to £33,800

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, no shifts

A thriving manufacturing firm is seeking to recruit two additional Mechanical Assemblers / Fitters to accommodate an increase in production demands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and fit a variety of large metallic components for the production of new machinery.
  • Utilize an assortment of hand and pneumatic tools to construct a diverse range of equipment on a small-batch production basis.
  • Interpret and follow detailed engineering schematics.
  • Work in a clean, organized workshop equipped with high-quality tools and resources.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment with ample training and support for newcomers or less experienced colleagues.
  • Explore excellent prospects for technical advancement or potential transitions into maintenance or service roles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in using various hand tools, including socket sets, spanners, screwdrivers, pliers, and torque wrenches.
  • Ability to read and understand basic engineering drawings.
  • Capability to troubleshoot mechanical issues related to assembly.
  • Commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and adhering to safety protocols.
  • Candidates with backgrounds as mechanics, mechanical assemblers, or mechanical fitters / REME at any level are encouraged to apply.
