Distinct Consultancy is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team on a contractual basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of mechanical design, including the production of 3D models, general arrangement drawings, and design for manufacture output.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Produce designs that comply with product assurance limitations and fully consider all stages of the product lifecycle.
  2. Eliminate H&S risks from designs in accordance with CDM regulations.
  3. Prepare 3D models in Autodesk Inventor to meet project demand.
  4. Produce 2D drawings from 3D models for customer review and approval.
  5. Work closely with analysis engineers to ensure designs accurately reflect theoretical analysis.
Requirements:
  1. Either a minimum HND in Engineering with 5 years' experience or a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3 years' experience.
  2. Ability to use Autodesk 3D Inventor, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Vault unaided.
  3. A focus on quality adherence and timely output.
  4. Evidence of working knowledge of BS 8888 for engineering drawings.
