ROLE

Trade Counter Assistant

Eurocell plc, a leading stock market listed company, is seeking a skilled Trade Counter Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our branch operations, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide outstanding customer service and support to new and existing customers, confidently communicating product knowledge and driving sales.
  • Pick, load, and deliver products to customers via Eurocell's 3.5 tonne flatbed trucks and LWB vans, ensuring safe driving and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
  • Support the Branch Manager with actions and activities on time, in full, and ensure compliance with Health and Safety, company policies, and procedures.
  • Contribute to the delivery of sales targets while developing and maintaining positive customer relationships, and assist with the delivery of branch operations.
  • Provide support and assistance to Branch colleagues as required, and maintain branch standards, including warehouse and stock management, front of house cleanliness, and point of sale.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • A passionate and energetic individual with a hands-on customer-focused approach, confident and happy to serve customers and proactively engage with potential future customers.
  • A commercial approach to drive sales and maximise margins, while ensuring our customers always walk away happy.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and use your own initiative.
  • A confident IT user, with experience of MS Office and industry-standard software, such as SAP.
  • A full and valid driving license is essential, and a FLT license could be a distinct advantage.
  • Previous branch stock take experience could be a distinct advantage.
  • Comfortable working in a small team and on occasion, alone.
  • Experience within a similar role, ideally in a trade/builders merchant/retail, glazing, or uPVC environment, could be a distinct advantage.
