Job Title: Assistant Planner

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is delighted to be supporting a renowned multidisciplinary consultancy who is seeking a talented Assistant Planner to join their dynamic team in Oxfordshire.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting senior planners in managing planning applications, appeals, and strategic projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.
  • Conducting research and preparing reports to inform planning decisions, analyzing data and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Liaising with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders, building strong relationships and communicating effectively.
  • Assisting in the preparation of site appraisals and feasibility studies, evaluating project viability and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of planning legislation and policy changes, staying current with industry developments and best practices.
About You:
  • A degree in Town Planning or a related field (RTPI accredited), with a strong understanding of planning principles and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • A passion for urban planning and sustainable development, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, with a strong team player attitude.
