Bilfinger is a leading engineering and maintenance provider, supporting customers across various industries. We are seeking a skilled Project Planner to join our team in Chesterfield.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, operating, and monitoring contract programmes to ensure projects are executed within budget and duration. This will involve allocating costs, liaising with project teams, and monitoring project performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Allocate costs from project estimates to project schedules.
- Liaise with project managers, project controls, and engineering teams to gather information for project scheduling.
- Continuously monitor project performance and report accurate and measurable project status.
- Identify and highlight critical schedule areas and risks to enable timely management action.
- Proactively identify and highlight schedule areas for improvement, time, and cost savings.
- Identify change/emergent scope and incorporate into project schedules.
- Collate clear and concise reports and presentations.
- Presentation of project schedules, associated KPIs, and narrative to project managers and clients.
- Management of multiple project schedules for multiple contracts.
- Awareness of technical implications and interfaces to programme work effectively.
- Awareness of the impact of planning on safety, quality, and cost considerations.
- Fluency in Primavera P6 and Excel to provide prompt, accurate, and regular information.
- Fully conversant with Earned Value and the ability to analyze project performance.
- Production of project schedules for proposals and tenders.
Requirements
- Previous planning experience.
- Sufficient and appropriate experience in EICA and Engineering.
- Experience of working with multidiscipline teams.
- Software: Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
- NEC3/4 contracts.
- Relevant HNC/Degree qualification.
- QCF Diploma Level 3/5 Planning.
- APMP Practitioner.
- Craft training, supported by relevant CPD training.
