Aerodynamicist Role

Aston Martin Formula One Team is seeking a skilled Aerodynamicist to join our team and contribute to the development of our current and future race cars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the team to improve aerodynamic performance through effective analysis and design
  • Analyse and interpret wind tunnel and computational fluid dynamics test results
  • Develop and iterate new geometric solutions using computer-aided design
  • Work closely with design groups to ensure aerodynamic intent is realised
  • Contribute to the improvement of aerodynamic development methodology and processes

Requirements:

  • Excellent engineering degree with a specialisation in aerodynamics or equivalent
  • Thorough understanding of aerodynamics and ability to apply knowledge
  • Prior experience in high-level aerodynamics, preferably Formula 1
  • Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Keen eye for detail and high standard of quality
  • Strong team player with ability to operate independently and exercise sound judgement
